Terms and Conditions
Updated: October 16, 2026
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions outline the details of your trip, booking experience, and use of our platform. By booking a trip, you agree to these terms, forming a contract between you and Buckettrips AB.
Buckettrips AB ("we," "us," "our") is a private limited company registered in Sweden, corporate identity number 559472-1416, VAT number SE559472141601. Registered office: Regementsgatan 20, 211 42 Malmö, Skåne län, Sweden.
2. Definitions
- Customer / Traveler / You: The individual or group making a booking.
- Trip: Any travel experience, tour, event, or activity offered by Buckettrips AB.
- Travel Coordinator: The designated leader of the group during the trip.
- Booking: The reservation of a trip with Buckettrips AB.
- Platform: The Buckettrips website and associated services.
- Force Majeure: Events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, war, or other unforeseen circumstances.
3. Booking Conditions
All bookings take place exclusively on our website at buckettrips.travel. Select your trip, fill in your details, and complete payment to secure your booking.
Our trips are for adults: every traveler must be 18 or over on the day the trip starts. The lead traveler makes the booking and pays for it, and everything about the booking is sent to them.
Prices are set in Swedish kronor and shown to you in the currency you choose. You are charged in the currency shown at checkout.
The price can be paid all at once or in up to 3 equal payments, 30 days apart, with no interest and no fee. On a confirmed trip the first payment is charged when you book; on one that has not confirmed, your card is kept and nothing is charged until it confirms. The last payment is charged no later than 30 days before the trip starts. Each later payment is charged to the card you paid with, after an email 3 days before, and a declined payment can be paid from your booking within 7 days, after which the booking is canceled as though you had canceled it. Each payment is confirmed by email, and the confirmation is also your receipt.
4. Pricing
Prices include all services and activities outlined in the trip description unless otherwise stated. Exclusions typically cover personal expenses, travel insurance, and optional activities.
If a price on the site is wrong, we correct it before you book. Once you have booked, the price you booked at is the price: we never raise it, for any reason. In a currency other than Swedish kronor, the advertised price follows the exchange rate until you book. Once you book, the price and every later payment are fixed in the currency you booked in, and they never move with the exchange rate.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
For full details, see our Refund Policy, which governs if anything here is less clear.
- Within 7 days of booking, and more than 60 days before the trip starts: everything you have paid is returned.
- More than 60 days before the trip starts, after those first 7 days: everything you have paid is returned, minus the administrative fee of $160.
- 30–60 days before the trip starts: 50% of the trip price is refunded, or everything you have paid where that is less.
- Less than 30 days before the trip starts: no refund.
The administrative fee is deducted only from a cancellation more than 60 days before the trip starts. Nothing is deducted from a 50% refund. If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination significantly affect the trip, you may cancel and everything you have paid is returned, with nothing deducted.
If we cancel a trip, everything you have paid is returned in full, or you may take an alternative trip of equivalent value. If a trip has not reached the number of travelers it needs by the day shown for it when you book, which your receipt names too, we cancel it that day and return everything you have paid. A confirmed trip is not canceled for low numbers.
6. Changes and Transfers
Changes to bookings can be made more than 60 days before the trip starts for an administrative fee of $160. Inside 60 days a change is a cancellation and a new booking.
You can transfer your place to someone else who meets the conditions of the trip, with at least 7 days' notice before the trip starts. Any costs the transfer causes, such as name changes or reissued flight tickets, are paid by you or the person taking over, and you are jointly responsible for anything still owed.
7. Insurance
Every traveler must hold travel insurance that covers medical treatment, emergency evacuation and repatriation, for the whole trip, in every country it visits and for every activity on it. It is not in the price. Upload the certificate before the trip starts; a traveler without that cover may not be able to join the trip.
The travel cover that comes with a home insurance policy counts if it does all of that. Check the activities: many policies leave some out unless you add them.
Cancellation cover is not required, and we recommend it: it is what pays you back if you have to cancel for a reason of your own.
8. Health and Safety
Some destinations have health requirements, such as vaccinations, and meeting them is your responsibility. We do not ask about your health.
9. Travel Requirements
Travelers are responsible for valid passports (6+ months validity), visas, and travel documents. We provide itineraries listing all countries involved; travelers must check and obtain required visas. Travelers must comply with local laws and regulations.
After booking, each traveler sends us the details we ask for on the booking's page, by the date it gives. We need them to book the services in your trip.
10. Responsibilities
Buckettrips
We provide the services outlined in the trip description. Changes will be communicated promptly with suitable alternatives. Our travel coordinator will have emergency contact information and assist travelers during the trip.
Traveler
Travelers must be physically and mentally fit for trip activities, comply with these terms, follow coordinator instructions, and take care of personal belongings. We are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to things in your own care, unless it comes from a fault in a service included in your trip.
11. Liability
We are responsible for every service included in your trip, whoever provides it. If something in it goes wrong, the Swedish Package Travel Act (paketreselagen) decides what you are owed, and these terms never give you less.
Our liability for damages is limited to three times the price of the trip. That limit does not apply to personal injury, or to damage caused intentionally or through negligence. Where an EU regulation or an international convention limits what a carrier, such as an airline, a ferry or a railway, has to pay, the same limit applies to us.
We are not liable where a problem is caused by you, by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, or by a third party unconnected with the services in your trip when it could not have been foreseen or avoided.
12. Behavior and Conduct
Travelers must behave respectfully toward group members, local communities, and staff. Unacceptable behavior may result in immediate removal from the trip without refund.
13. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If something in your trip is not as it should be, tell your coordinator or write to support@buckettrips.travel as soon as you notice, so we can put it right while you are still there. The law asks you to tell us without undue delay, and waiting can reduce what you are able to claim. Telling your coordinator counts; writing to us as well gives us both a record.
After the trip, send a complaint or a claim to support@buckettrips.travel. It helps if you write within 28 days of the trip ending, while the details are fresh, but a later claim is not refused for that reason.
If we cannot agree, you can take the dispute to the National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, arn.se. We take part in ARN's process. ARN's own rules decide which cases it takes, how soon after your complaint to us you must apply, and whether there is a fee. You can also take a dispute to court.
14. Special Requests
We ask for your dietary preferences before the trip starts. Room preferences and other requests can be sent to support@buckettrips.travel. We will make every effort to accommodate them but cannot guarantee it.
15. Privacy and Data Protection
We extend GDPR protections to all customers regardless of location. Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Write to us at dpo@buckettrips.travel.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection, use, and protection.
16. Marketing and Media
During trips, photographs and videos may be taken. We never use a photo or video of you in our marketing without your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to dpo@buckettrips.travel.
17. Force Majeure
If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, such as a natural disaster, war, a serious disease outbreak or government restrictions, prevent the trip or significantly affect it, you may cancel, and if we cannot run the trip we cancel it. Either way, everything you have paid is returned, with no fee of any kind. We may offer you an alternative trip instead, and taking it is your choice.
18. Website Use
By using buckettrips.travel, you agree to these terms. Content is protected by copyright. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce content without written consent.
19. Cookies
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies we set and why, and which ones we set only with your permission.
20. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and nothing in them takes away a protection the law of the country you live in gives you. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
We may update these terms. A change applies to bookings made after it is posted. A booking is governed by the terms you accepted when you made it.
